Does anyone know if there are any plans of a AAO with a 2.5" HDD with Linux?
Battery wouldn't matter or RAM since that's a quick upgrade.
This would make it easier to put in an aftermarket SSD or CF to SATA 2.5" form factor adapter.

i thought i'd be a little bit more helpful and put the links up, this is where im gonna get my AA1

Blue - http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/5826000/A ... oduct.html

White -

They're both the 1gb versions, but there are 512MB options on sale as well

Thanks guys, I think the AAO is what I want to get since the EEE is expensive and the Wind seems a bit bigger than I want and really I'll just end up running Linux on mine (Ubuntu or Fedora since they are used by my LUG and I've used them before) so the RAM cap isn't a big issue. One more question though, does anyone know where it would be available in the US.

i don't know much about the US market. does play.com send international? its free delivery in the Uk but probs not for that kind of distance!!!

the only other alternative i can think of is amazon

I found the 120GB version on NCIX US, but it's not available yet and ETA is mid August.
On the bright side the price is cheaper than Newegg's price on the SSD version for the SSD and HDD version.

Yeah NCIX and CDW are the only 2 places I've found the HDD version so far. And CDW said they're expecting it on August 15. I'm guessing about the same for NCIX. Otherwise it's just the SSD version so far that I've seen.
