New stock at Newegg, they have a few different AA1s now.

I guess that means Amazon will probably get the 160 GB soon as well.
Didn't know the 16 GB SSD was supposed to be available so soon.

    Price is 349 and 399.

    Not In Stock.

Thanks for the info, and I just ordered. I am very happy to be able to order it from Newegg because their customer service is consistently superb.

It says they are in stock and will ship within 24-48 hours. If Newegg says it's so, then it is so. I hope :?

Woah, 16GB SSD? Didn't know that was coming. Is it any faster than the 8GB?

It's probably the same Intel SSD that's currently used, it's available in 8 and 16 GB. It may also be the SanDisk pSSD.

Looks like NewEgg has 7 models in now. I still see some missing (like black and brown don't have 8GB SSD variants, sapphire blue is missing a HDD variant, etc...).

Well, canceled my order with Amazon and went with Newegg. Got the brown one, so I'll be curious to see how it looks. I liked the blue from Amazon, though I read that fingerprints show alot. I trust Newegg more than Amazon, anyway.

As of today, the Amazon still said shipping estimate of 9/30 - 10/10, still not shipped. Newegg at least guarantees 3-day delivery. Can't wait!

Apparently, there's a version of the 16GB SSD, 1GB RAM w/6-cell, AOA110-1698. It appears to be available in Canada (not Newegg).

Brown looks nice, it's an odd color for a netbook, but still nice. It looks a bit more professional than white or blue. But I still like black.

I contacted NewEgg and inquired about the AOA150-1049 (black, 6-cell, 160GB), but they said they are not showing any in stock or on order yet. So I made a suggestion to carry the AOA150-1049. You can do the same here: http://secure.newegg.com/FeedBack/ShallWeCarry.aspx

Why is the 120gb white so much higher? Does anybody have a clue. Maybe more demand?

    Thanks for the info!

15 dollars more than I wanted to pay, but getting it sooner is worth it.

I wasn't expecting to get a brown one, (wanted a blue) but it really doesn't look bad at all.

Well between reading this post, clicking on newegg and then looking at the brown picture they have gone out of stock (160GB brown) as of 815PM Pacific. :(

I was gonna risk the brown too!

They barely lasted a few hours. I wonder if they only had a few in stock or so many people bought one.

And that's exactly what I did, so let's see if they ship it tomorrow (a little late in the night now).

A shame on the price - I have a pre-order @ buy.com (will we ever see it) at < $400 with coupons, a pre-order at Amazon with tax but free shipping (Prime) and CDW ends up the worst of both worlds - shipping and sales tax at $454 or so.

I'm not worried about color though. I've seen the blue in person at Fry's (120GB one) and it's nice but fingerprint sticky, so I'll be happy with white.

At last - now the whole hackery fun can begin - time to jump forums!

I guess I must have been one of the last purchasers. I bought mine at 3-4PM Hawaii time. I realllyyy want a White one again though so I might cancel my order. I haven't found any convincing pictures of the brown one just yet.
