Is there any program that works to resize to 1024x768 for Windows 7 on AA1? Also scales down to fit display? Im on the new 10.1 versions..

You have to wait for the 11" version. Google Acer One 751.

under Control Panel, Display, click on ''Change display settings' on the left. Click 'Advanced Settings'. Clikck 'List All Modes' button. Select your screen resolution of choice. Click OK about 3 times. Move mouse to bottom of screen to scroll, to right of screen to scroll (if you made the screen wider than 1024).
    Enjoy.

Disclaimer: did this on my work Dell laptop running Windows 7 so it should work on an AAO.

This can be do if you connect your One to a monitor that support higher resolutions and set it to be the only display in use. The previous solution didn´t work for me because the screen/monitor on the One can´t be configured on win7 to show others resolutions modes unless you connect a different monitor with higher resolution.

Somebody made an app over on the MSI Wind forums. I'm guessing it should work as it is the same graphics chipset. Users there are saying it works for them.

    http://forums.msiwind.net/hacks-and-mod ... 11210.html

It will scale me to 800x600 but I'm not sure if the 1024x768 works.

Did anyone ever come up with a solution for this? That MSI program doesn't work.

And why do you need to scale it?
For those windows that's too large to show horizontally, just rotate the screen 90 degress.

If you are referring to the EeeRotate software, that didn't work for me. The cursor movement got rotated 90 degree but not the screen.

I think that is a Dell graphics card program addition. I noticed it on my Dell c610 and thought it would be great for the AA1 but it does not work for the AA1. Or on any other computer I have been able to try it on.

You are right. I just tried that on my DELL desktop and the rotation toggle is working. Too bad!

Well.. it worked perfectly for me. Maybe your OS is incorrectly installed or flawed in someway?

there's a way to use this resolution under win 7, you just have to uninstall the intel driver that comes with win7, download the intel gma driver for windows xp from the intel site, and install it using compatibility mode (xp sp3). once the installation is finished, do a right click on the sreen, choose screen resolution, then click on the Advanced settings and then on the monitor tab, now the "hide modes that this monitor cannot display" option should be available, just let it disabled, and click aply. Now you can use 1024X768 by scrolling a little bit the screen, This scrolling issue can be solved by using downscalling switcher (again with compatibility mode and installing the missing libraries if required), I think someone else mention this tool in another post.

by the way by doing this there's not aero functions.

there's a pic I took with my camera, you can see the full options panel of windows live messenger (mine in spanish, since I'm from México).

A few questions for sick2024: Which Acer Aspire One model do you have and which driver exactly did you download? I've been trying to solve this for some time without success. I'd be very thankful for your reply. Saludos del Ecuador. :)

Hi Malvo, sorry for the late answer, I was having some problems with my internet connection. I Have the D250 model, but this method works for the 150 models as well. The driver is available at the intel site, it should be this one:
