I have been looking around myself for a nice easy to use Distro, that would work out of the box. I have tried quite a few. As to date it is between LinuxMint and Fedora 10. Mint will require you to download the Linux drivers from the Atheros site, (your WiFi Card), but the Mint installer will help you take care of that. and you have to do a reboot, so that would require a temp install. Down load them ahead of time, and put them on a USB or SD card. Out of the Box, Fedora 10, works the best. Both look very pro, and polished, and have and auto down loader for programs. Fedora also seems to manage the battery better, if you looking to get the most out of battery life. There are allot out there, their free to down load, try as many as you like using their Live tryouts.

Also, here is a nice program for loading allot of the most popular Distro's onto a USB stick, so you can do USBLive tests.

    Have fun shopping.

Please give pupitup 4.1.2 a test run on 10 " AAO to let me know if screen resolution is supported (IE: does it use 1024x600 pix ?) and how well it works.
Fast and easy on my 8.9 " AAO, I haven't used anything else for the last 4 months.

By the way, it's not just a Music Lab, it's got regular soft too.
Easy USB install, & live CD too.

I have installed Ubuntu Jaunty Beta on my AOD 150. Haven't checked int. + ext. mics. Everything else besides wifi led works. All fn keys and OSD work. Like with most distros though you need to find a fan control script because that's surprisingly not included in Jaunty either. If Ubuntu will get these minor issues fixed before the final release I see no reason why Ubuntu won't be the chosen OS for most AAO owners. It's like Jaunty was made with the little One in mind. ;)

Jaunty really is a major improvement over Intrepid and I'm loving it so far.

Yes, sound works in both scenarios. It also works after suspend with both the built-in speakers and head phones.
