Hi there, I followed rorys guide to install 10.5.5 from iatkos v5 and had it running all fine for a while, then I decided to upgrade to 10.5.6 and used a usb keyboard and mouse to re-install the required kexts including the ps2 one.

The problem I'm having now is that there is no section in system config/mice and keyboards for mice. No speed adjustment, no click prefs, nothing. Any clues how I can get this back ? The trackpad also does not respond to a tap on the pad, which worked as a left click in 10.5.5

    Any help appreciated

    thanks,

    malty

since making this thread, I have re-installed from scratch using the diablonet tutorial which includes backing up the keyboard prefs before you upgrade. I did as it says and my keyboard/trackpad are now fully working in 10.5.6

I would appreciate that too, i have been avoiding a reinstall and this would definitely help.

Well this is the same as what I have already. I see the keyboard but no trackpad. If I plug in a usb mouse I get the mouse panel but still no way to adjust the trackpad. Anyone able to fix this?
