Looking at the manual it shows Fn+F3 Communication key Enables / disables the computer's
communication devices. Maybe you have turned off the wifi settings by using Fn+F3. Try using these keys again.

I know it's sounds silly but are you sure the network you are trying to connect to is not faulty.
Its worth taking you computer to another working wifi to see if that works with your machine.

If you can reset the router then this may help most routers have a reset button or a little opening that requires a small needle to be placed in it to reset it..

    Assuming you are using windows,

If you go to the control panel then go to “network and sharing center” see if your can setup another network connection.

If you have tried altering the network setting section of windows with no success and reset
the router then the only thing I could suggest is to restore windows to an earlier time.

In the start button type restore then choose an earlier date backup.

Has it ever worked on this computer, you say that it's a new wifi.

I can only think the light is indicating that it's spotted a wifi within range.

Did you change the password to the new wifi routers password when you had it installed .

The password should be on the reverse side of the router.

On the signal strength icon in the bottom right hand side if you right click it should show you if the wifi is on or off. You can toggle this setting.

You will have to wait for another member to give more input I cannot think of anything else
    sorry.

ye the WiFi was working before.

when i turned back on the laptop one say it is now just showing a red x over the WiFi icon and wont display and WiFi in range or will not connect to any.

Is the WiFi light normally meant to be blue when it is working, as mine is orange , its active but just note giving any connection.
    No didn't change any passwords.

There is red x right across the signal strength?

According to the manual for the e732z
Turn ON the Wireless by press & hold Fn key and Tap the F3 key (once)
This brings up the Windows Launch Manager

A RED X shows that the Wireless is OFF
CLICK the RED X to turn the Wireless ON
The toggle will change from Red to Green

If that does NOT happen they there is a BIG problem

If it does change to green you SHOULD ALSO see Wireless in Range... and be able to select one - enter the Router password and be able to Connect...

    Hope this was helpful

Have you checked the drivers on the laptop for the wireless? Try re-installing them and see if that works. Failing that if it is still under warranty send it back or just buy a wireless usb stick they only cost around £15.
