The upgrade says my display adapter (ATI Mobility Radeon x1300) is not compatible. Does any one know of a way around this, besides buying a new laptop? Thanks

There is another way however it is not without some risk.

The first thing you need to do is backup all your important files to an external source.

When installing windows 10 you are given a choice to install retaining all your
files, and programs, or installing without retaining any files or programs.

Windows “usually” installs a generic video driver if you choose to install without
    retaining your previous system files.

You will loose your enhancements that your video driver afforded you.

Listed here is some backup programs if you choose the latter.

Oh boy, I have to save this thread for when Window 10 is downloaded on my laptop! I hate running into trouble like this, as I know I will have a big headache.

IcyBC Most laptops will not face this type of problem, IT'S ONLY BECAUSE THE GRAPHIC CARD IS AN OLD ONE that Techster has.
