Upgrade cpu acer dual processor higher

    dual procesor can i upgarde higher

    The best bet you have is finding out what motherboard you have and if acer launched other computers with better CPUs with it. It's also important to find out if the CPU was soldered onto the motherboard or they used a socket.

    @farhanichwan - 99% of Laptops have their CPU soldered to the Motherboard...
    I am an ancient Electronics Engineer and was taught how to unsolder 'chips' from 4 layer motherboards... it wasn't easy even using the special tools, back in 1974.

    I believe that motherboards have now got as many as 12 layers... so they are considered as disposable (throw away) items by manufacturers because of the time, effort and also the need for those special tools... so you'll have to do what most of us do... either upgrade to a different Laptop or accept the limitations of your current Laptop.

    There are several cheapish laptops on the market at the moment with Quad core CPU's one of them has even got a 14 hour battery life (manufacturers claim) they sell for around £200 UK price $170 US prices...
