I have seen that news on TV the other night. But I didn't catch the part that yahoo mail users are advised to change their passwords. That news is a good one because yahoo, at least, admitted the problem even if that happened way back in 2014. Me and my husband are yahoo users so it is applicable to us. But I am wondering what the hacker can get from my email. Let's suppose that they can open my yahoo mail because they know the password, so what do they get out of it? I don't see the logic.

I only kept one Yahoo email address, but I didn't receive any email from them saying that I should change the password. I read a similar article about this online the other day, and now I will change the password for that account. Thank you!

This sort of hack seems to happen so often now, and I'd bet we don't hear about them all! What can be done on the technology side to make things more secure, as it looks like this will only get worse. As end users, picking random passwords for each site is the way to go :).
