So I have used a software called Laplink - pc mover before. It will transfer all your data and install all your software from your old computer to your new computer. The problem is that it is pretty expensive.

Does anyone know of a good method or software to transfer installed programs to another computer? Preferable painlessly!

Using Aomei backupper you could make drive image file then

save it to a flash or external drive, then restore the image over to the new

    drive.

There is a second method you might wish to consider.

A laptop hard drive is so easy to remove usually under a panel held
    in by one screw.

If you put one of the hard drives in an external caddy then use a clone
hard drive program the process is very very easy.

An external caddy on ebay will cost approx 10$

There's some great free software, to use to clone them.

Aomei partition assistant is an easy one found here.
