Screen resolution fault on D257-13450

    I have a problem after I did a system restore for my wife on her laptop on the windows 7 home screen the bottom task bar does not fit the screen i have added extra resolutions using regedit and i have it on 1152-864 i have plugged an external monitor in and that gives me a full screen. Laptop is out of warranty and Acer want $99 off me just to speak to one of there tech people

    The native screen resolution for your netbook is 1024 x 600. Right click on desktop, left click on screen resolution from the meun and choose 1024 x 600 from the center resolution pull down menu and you will again see your task bar again. You can choose a higher screen resolutions if you have an external monitor attached that is capable of a higher resolutions.
