NEW ACER BATTERY

    Bought a new battery for my laptop but it will only charge to 42 percent then says plugged in but not charging......
    if i then put in the old battery this charges to 100 percent......is this a faulty battery ??????
    i made sure the new battery was the correct one........i have tried all the suggestions on battery sites but still it will not charge properly......chinese battery but the seller does not respond to my messages at all......

    Yes, sadly that does sound like a faulty battery. Where did you buy it from? If it was from ebay or similar, there should be a complaints process to get the money back.

    Yes ebay...chinese seller will not answer my 6 messages...have contacted ebay about it
