None of the ctrl, alt, fn keys are not working on my laptop. As far as I can see, it isn't a sticky keys issue. ctrl alt fn hasn't solved it. Any other ideas welcome.

    Many thanks

    Welcome to the laptop-forums site

    Three possibilities,
One the keyboard driver has a problem
    Two the keyboard needs replacing
Three you have a loose connection

To check the driver, type in the words, device manager in the search facility
at the start button bottom left.

Click on keyboards icon then right click on the keyboard driver
then choose uninstall, restart your machine, if its the driver
then the machine should resolve the issue.

Many thanks. Option 1 didn't work. How do I check for a loose connection?

I think there's too much dirt in your keyboard. Try the spray cleaner that I had read in this forum. It will surely clean your keyboard of any foreign matter and free the keys. But if that doesn't work then you may need to have a new keyboard. That's the problem with the laptop, you cannot just change the keyboard to your convenience. But I guess the tech can still repair if there is physical damage in your keyboard.
