I can't install the Broadcom Bluetooth driver update

I have a D250 and the OEM/current/stockdriver version for the Broadcomm 2045 is 5.5.0.7100 and I am trying to get 5.5.0.7400 to install and work. I am trying this due to my Motorola S9HD headset having sound quality issue and I tried 5.5.0.7400 and wanted to say it installed, worked and even sounded better, but when I got home and rebooted again, it was back to the old driver version (.7100) and I have re-run the .7400 install many times without it taking. I have even removed/uninstalled the 2045 from the D250 and installed again to see if that helped and it didn't. I got the driver off the Acer site and I am 98% sure after the install the first time, that I checked the driver version via Device Manager and it was .7400 [URL]http://support.acer.com/drivers_download.aspx[/URL] Can anyone shed some light on this for me please.
