In part D of my hard drive I have 180 GB. The system msg told me only 2.80MB left.
When I total all my folders, files... I have only 12 GB in storage. Why I do not see the rest of the files/folders that took up 160GB ? How can I see them in order to delete or copy to different device.
My laptop is MSI A620 with 300GB and using windows 7.
    Please advise,
    TIA

No simple answers for your question.

Your harddrive could have normally filled with things like systems files
or say, you have been playing online games and its stores gaming level type files.

It could be affected by a virus that loads files without your permission until
    your drive is full.

First things to try is use a program like Ccleaner, this will remove temp system
files that are no longer required.

Secondly try malwarebytes anti-malware this will remove unwanted malware
    programs.

Lastly use a free antivirus program of your choice.

If none of these work in sufficiently removing enough space then you will
need a file transfer or drive cloning program.

Listed here are links to some files I have listed.
