I'm in the market for a gaming rig. Due to very limited space, it'll have to be a laptop rather than a desktop. I need answers for two questions I have so I can get the most for my money

First, for those knowledgeable of models currently on the market, I'm asking for a small list of a few of the best gaming laptops that can handle the latest and greatest games available now as well as those coming in the next few years. From what little info I've gathered at this point, these rigs will most likely have a GTX 980 graphics card and at least 16 gigs of ram or something just as good. Something with a very powerful multi core processor, little or no problems with compatibility with many video games and good stability in general is also important. This isn't a must but I would also like one with a keyboard that has the number pad on the side and keys that light up in the dark.

Secondly, for what I'm looking for, I've heard that I should expect to spend around 5,000 dollars. I'm comfortable spending this much or even going higher, but like most of us, I'm trying to buy what I want as cheaply as I can. So I wnat to know where I can find these products online for cheaper than usual. Like using ebay or taking advantage of Cyber Monday (2 days from now) sales at a website like amazon. Whether through sales, bidding, coupons or whatever, I'm hoping to find something cutting edge (and new not used) for under 4,000, or under 3,000 if I'm very lucky.

Well if you're willing to go that high, might as well get a laptop with a watercooled desktop GPU right? :)

This is what I'm talking about...

Edit: wait I don't think it's watercooled, but if not, that's impressive. It performs just like a desktop 980.

I have never heard or seen that brand's laptop yet but by seeing hardware specifications and the price for which it comes at, I am impressed. Still warranty and after service of manufacturer is important.

For something that powerful, I'd suggest Clevo/Sager with 17 inches. Just go to one of the boutique laptop stores (Origin, PC Specialist in the UK for example) and go to town with your configuration. By the looks of your requirement, it will fall into the range between 3500-3800 USD. If you want to use brands, then the cost will be around 4,500 and there's not a lot of brand that would go that high (ASUS or MSI comes to mind).

Well if that's your budget i would go with an alienware or acers top of the line gaming laptop. With that kind of budget you have a lot of options. You might want to check out newegg.com or groupon has some great deals on laptops.
