Firmware update for Samsung P-SSD1800 8/16GB

    I've written an article about updating the FW my SSD (Samsung P-SSD1800) on my blog, if you are interested. Benchmark included ;) Happy flashing AOA110/AOA150 users ;)

    This is absolutely awesome news. I have a white AOA with the 8GB SSD (the Linux-version) and trying to update Lubuntu on it is a pain in the backside (it takes hours!). I'll try this firmware and see if I can get better performance.

    Anyone know if this update adds TRIM-support to the disk?

    OK, after a few tests I have to confirm that this firmware does NOT add TRIM-support. :(

    It's looking like it's the harddrive that’s failed. Reason for this assessment is that the motherboard listed the dvd/ram drive.
