    I bought this aspire one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6834115554

It clearly says n270 in description on the egg, but on the aspire one's my computer properties it displays 1.66Ghz N280, and cpu-z seems to confirm it, even listing the fsb as 665 mhz.

    Is this normal?

Should I cancel my order of a 2 GB DDR2-533 module and order a 667 mhz module?

    Mine has a n270.

CPUID says it is a n270, so no doubt about it now.

I have the D150 black model from the egg, and both My Computer properties and CPU-Z show N270.

Batt life doesnt seem worse than claimed life, only by 15 minutes or so, and nothing is overheating

What does CPU-Z show for your chipset? There won't be much difference between the 270 and the 280 unless the chipset is also different.

Same chipset as my n270 model, so you should see some better performance with the 280.

It would be interesting to see benchmarks, or maybe the cpu-z validation link if you have time.

What useful benchmarks can I run on the thing?

edit: Oh i just realized you said validation link, I'll have to run that again after 7 installs too
