I want to make a small change to the way the keyboard works.
I have a French-Canadian keyboard, but it will be used by a Brazilian. Most of the accents are common between the two languages except for the ~.
I want to use the French-Canadian keyboard layout but have the ~ key work as a dead key, so that I can press it then press o to get õ.
Can anyone tell me if there's an editable config or xml or whatever file to make this happen? Or are the keyboard layouts chiseled in stone?
    Thanks

Try searching for "keyboard remapper." I'm not sure if it'll do what you want but it's worth a try.
