    Hi there,

My brand new ASUS ux305ua came out of the box with a green-tinted screen that looked awful and showed ghosts, its okay now, but will this return in future? should i return it still?

    Thanks

Welcome to the laptop forums site

Personally I would send it back, reasons when a lcd screen goes faulty or
is coming to the end of it's life it shows a similar set of circumstances
    that you describe.

There there is another component a rectifier that affects the lcd operation
that could be causing the problem.

Enclose a note “only” describing the green screen problem

    Hey thanks,

I agree I've thought about that for a couple days, but I cant help but think its more of a (unwarranted) calibration type of issue? However if it screws up past the warranty.. bye over a thousand dollars.

If you do choose to keep it then apply for an extended warranty.
Many online insurance brokers out there, they will be much cheaper than
the ones offered by a computer supplier.

I never got a chance to return my hp laptop because I just didn't know how at the time. I really needed at that time, and I didn't want to go threw the process of returning it.

I also felt like my screen had the crack in the corner because of me, but I don't know what I did. It's been that way ever since, and the ink has spilled out, but stays in one place. It's almost been three years.

I would definitely return it because you want your product to be brand new without any problems.

When something is wrong with any appliance or electronic item you buy, avail of the warranty as soon as you can. From out of the box, you cannot discount problems. Last year we bought a rice cooker that wouldn't cook after 3 days. And the warranty for having it replaced was only 7 days so we had to hurry back. With computers, it is the same thing. When the product has a defect, don't hesitate to have it replaced otherwise you will be left with a lemon.

Why not send it back, I mean you're only going to get a laptop that doesn't have issues. Think about it, just a simple crack or dent in your laptop will make it unable to be replaced on warranty, that's what they will tell you when you go in to replace it because your screen is faulty. The sooner the better.
