Game: Myst V: End of Ages
RAM: 1.5 GB (120 GB HD)
Result: Not so good... can become quite laggy at certain points :( but playable, if you're patient... which you likely are if you're playing Myst ;)

    Game: Atomic Bomberman
RAM: 1.5 GB (120 GB HD)
Result: Bleeding fingers and laryngitis from screaming at the screen

    Puzzle quest
    I've been addicted to it

I think theres only 3d in the maps but it runs great in 800x600 just make sure you turn on maintain aspect ratio so you can read the text, lol

I also play kyodai 2006. its worked on alot slower computers so no surprise there.

    Game: Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 (a.k.a. FS9)
    Ram: 1.5 GB
Performance: Runs OK/16-18fps (default settings), >20fps (reduced graphics options)

I tried all of FS98, FS2004 and FS-X in my Acer Aspire One during the weekend. If you like MS-FS and have a choice of versions to install, then i.m.o. FS2004 is the optimal choice. FS98 works perfectly >20fps but lacks in the eye candy department (because its age shows, but also because of lowish resolution due small screen, and Intel's very rudimentary graphics accelerator). FS-X could also be tweaked to run around ~20fps, but I don't see any value in it over FS2004 considering that it needs about ten times more HD space (1.5GB -vs- 15GB). I did not try, but I suspect that FS2002 and FS2000 are also OK for Aspire One.

Note that you'll need [to google for] a CD-crack in order to run FS2004 or FS-X without a portable CD drive!

I was also pleasantly surprised to find out that MS Flight Simulator is one of the few games that adjust the aspect ratio correctly when used on a non-4:3 screen.

May or may not be a repost

Game: Sam & Max: Lincoln Must Die!
    Settings: Default
Config: A1 120gb HDD, 1GB RAM, stock XP

Performance: Bloody fanstastic, really good, no noticeable slowdown, runs very smooth

I assume, the entire first season would run the same too!

    Game: Starcraft and Brood War
Performance: Very Smooth / 30+ fps (SP and MP)

    AOA150-1049 (Windows XP)
    RAM: 1 GB DDR2 533

    Game: Freelancer
Performance: Playable with Framerate Drops / 15-30 fps; It's more framerate stable (~25-30 fps), if you lower the details to the lowest setting and turn off background dust as well as HUD animations and set resolution to 640 x 480.
Widescreen Support: Not native, needs to be set in PerfOptions.ini and camera.ini files for single and multiplayer along with fovx changes to at least 66.0.

Tomorrow I'll be testing Counter-Strike: Source in multiplayer.

Game: star trek: starfleet command 3
    Ram: 1.5 GB
Performance: loads, plays the intro movie then hangs. i believe it needs 1024x768.. it may be tripping on the narrower vertical dimension of the AOA.

Game: star trek: starfleet command 2 - orion pirates
    Ram: 1.5 GB
Performance: will load, gets to the cd-key screen, then i can't type in the required key, it won't recognize the keypresses. frustrating.

    1gb ram
    XP pro SP3

    Final Fantasy 8 works perfectly.
Bootfighter works perfectly on low-lowest settings.
CS 1.6 - unplayable online (fps too low and too inconsistent)
Warcraft III/FT works perfectly on 800x600 with low settings.
Need for speed most wanted - unplayable too slow
Virtual Tennis - laggy but playable
    Virtua On - perfect =)

    EMULATORS:
Project 64 - Full speed most of the time for Mario64/Mariokart64/zelda
MAME - Mostly full speed for everything I've tried.
Zinc - Only Street Fighter EX/Plus runs decent. Anything newer than that will be too slow to play.
No$Gba - NDS games are too slow.

Might update later if I get the time to install others.

    - House of the Dead 3 runs, but extremely slow. Barely playable. Get about 5-10 FPS.
    - ePSXe 1.70 (Playstation emulator) works great.
    - House of the Dead 2 runs very well. No slow down.

Don't know this particular game but if you think the problem then try a downscaling program to map 1024x768 onto the 1024x600 (i.e. Astray plus or Downscaling Switcher). These were developed respectively for the EEE and the MSI Wind but both work on the One.

Morrowind. I doubt the Bloodmoon expansion will exceed 3 fps unless there's some ini setting to turn off the snow, and I haven't tried it in a heavy combat scene with multiple enemies yet, but so far so good.

    RAM 1 gig

Performance: Decreased the viewing distance some. Gets 30+ indoors, 20 in calm outdoor areas, can drop to 10 when raining or in areas with enough activity. See further optimizations here (gave me +3-10 FPS)
