I'm trying to use what appears to be an extra PCIE slot on my AO722, but the slot doesn't seem to be active.

Specifically, I'm trying to install a Broadcom Crystal HD decoder to get better video playback quality.

Windows doesn't detect hardware when i plug anything into the slot, and the the bios is really limited.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    thanks in advance,
    Chris

The only upgrades I have read that are successful included adding Bluetooth by replacing the Wifi adapter, upgrading the ram to 4 GB and swapping out the hard disk for an SSD drive. I remember someone else, someplace talking about trying to get the "other" PCIE slot to work. Are you running the latest release of the bios? If not, trying upgrading to that and see if you get lucky.
