Hey Everyone! I'm looking for a college laptop, and I have narrowed my choices to the

    Acer Aspire S7:

    and the Asus Zenbook

I was wondering which of the laptops to choose, since the specs are about the same and the prices so similar. I have heard that Asus usually has better build quality and customer service, but I'm not completely sure.

    Any Suggestions?

Catchy username ;). Welcome to the forums!

Spec-wise, they both look good... I'd have edged toward the Asus for the very reasons you suggested, mainly because if something goes wrong with a laptop that costs that much, it's nice to know you'll be able to get any warranty problems sorted fairly quickly (and I suspect the internal build quality will be slightly higher).

Maybe someone here has one of these laptops and they can offer a first hand suggestion.

Base on the specification, both laptops are close bu the Acer has a more powerful processor in the i7 as opposed to the i5 that the Asus have. The Acer is also a little cheaper than the Asus. I would go for the Acer in this case because it seems like a better deal.

I've had an Asus before and briefly. The computer didnt last long (6months) under a little intense scrutiny and no overclocking here just extensive use of multiple appps at a time. The machine was also an i5, which is why I suggest you go with I7 and save yourself the hard time.
