    I have an Acer 751h which I currently have Ubuntu 10.04 installed.
    I'm very happy with it all except for the fact that I cant get 1366x768 screen resolution. My maximum resolution is 1024x768 in ubuntu 10.04

    Please can anyone help me by:
    1..... identifying a patch for the native Ubuntu 10.04 that allows me to get 1366x768
    2..... identifying a version of Linux that supports this video mode without patching e.g. OpenSuse11.3, Fedora13, PCLinuxOS 2010, Mandriva 2010, Mint8. When I've tried these in Live mode they all seem to just provide 1024x768.
    3..... identify some other solution.

    And no I dont want to install Windows just because it has 1366x768 support!

    Thanks

    Found the solution after many weeks of searching.

    This solution works.
    https://wiki.ubuntu.com/HardwareSupport ... rdsPoulsbo

    Open a terminal and type:

    sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gma500/ppa && sudo apt-get update

    this command will add 'GMA500 PPA' repository and update database

    sudo apt-get install poulsbo-driver-2d poulsbo-driver-3d poulsbo-config

    Reboot for the changes to take effect.

    In addition there is a fix for the battery meter to show on the top panel bar.
    Acer 751h to fix battery status add to session startup

    Add the following command to the Session Startup applications applet.

    cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT1/info
